About the RoleThis is an entry-level professional social work position involving the provision of services and interventions to individuals, families, and groups to improve social functioning. The work involves assessment and preparation of case analysis; identification of social needs and recommending appropriate action. Employees are responsible for preparing case analysis and reports, acting as a resource to educators, and establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, teaching staff, groups, other government departments, community agencies, and the general public.
As the variety and difficulty of assignments increase, more latitude in independent judgment and decision making is permitted as the employee acquires knowledge and skill in the assigned areas of activities.
QualificationsGraduation from university with a Bachelor's in Social Work or a related degree is required. Registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers is also necessary.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $52,510 - $68,400 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek. This amount is estimated based on the provided information and location.
Full-time employees who do not have unpaid separation periods during certain breaks can apply to participate in the Compressed Work Year Program. Approved applicants are required to work an additional 39 minutes per working day to earn a total of 18 flex-days in one year.
