We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide essential care to clients in St. John's, Canada. As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and promoting independence for our clients.
Responsibilities:- Assisting Clients with Daily Living Activities: You will assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Providing Medication Support and Exercise Assistance: You will administer medication and support clients with daily exercises to help them maintain their physical health.
- Monitoring Health Status and Reporting Changes: You will closely monitor clients' health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals to ensure timely interventions.
- Offering Companionship and Emotional Support: You will provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Assisting with Household Duties: You will assist clients with light household duties, such as cleaning and meal preparation, to help them maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW): You must hold certification as a PSW in Canada to be eligible for this role.
- Previous Experience in Caregiving or Healthcare: Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare settings is highly valued for this position.
- Strong Communication Skills and Empathy: You must possess strong communication skills and empathy towards clients to build trust and provide effective support.
- Physical Ability: You must be physically able to perform lifting and supporting movements to ensure client safety.
- Flexibility: You must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of clients.
- Competitive Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
