Physician Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Tertiary Care Setting

About the Role:
Horizon Health Network is seeking a skilled Physician Anesthesiologist to join our team at Saint John Regional Hospital, a tertiary care facility and designated Level I trauma centre. As an integral part of our Department of Anesthesiology, you will provide anesthesia services in the operating room and participate in teaching and research initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Teach and mentor junior colleagues and students from Dalhousie University Medical School and Memorial University Medical School
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as Specialist in Anesthesiology
- Fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia and certification in perioperative trans-esophageal echocardiography is an asset
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
Working Conditions:
- Hours of work are normally provided between 0730hrs – 1630hrs Monday to Friday, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Service/Department Head
- After-hours and weekend call coverage in coordination with members of the Department
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $350,000-$425,000 per year. Remuneration is Fee-for-Service, with on-call remuneration provided. No source deductions can be provided.
