Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aircraft Fueler to join our team at YYC. As a key member of our ground support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient fueling and defueling of aircraft.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality control checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Fuel and defuel aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all standards and procedures.
  • Accurately account for fuel transactions and maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel, and defuel aircraft as directed.
  • Operate fuel trucks and hydrant carts to fuel aircraft, and lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
  • Calculate fuel distributions for a variety of aircraft and drive light and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions as required.
  • Meet the station's attendance record and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class G driver's license in good standing and other Airport required identification/security passes or authorizations.
  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
  • Work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
