Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Aircraft Fueler to join our team at the airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth fueling and defueling of aircraft, adhering to all standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Fuel aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Accurately account for fuel transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition, ensuring it is ready for use at all times.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel to prevent any potential safety hazards.
  • Defuel aircraft as directed, following all safety procedures.
  • Operate fuel trucks and hydrant carts to fuel aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment, as required.
  • Calculate fuel distributions for a variety of aircraft, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Drive a variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles, as required.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions as required by the Company and Airlines.
  • Meet the station's attendance record, ensuring a high level of reliability and commitment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class G driver's license in good standing and other Airport required identification/security passes or authorizations.
  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment, as required.
  • Work primarily outdoors, comfortable in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain the D AVOP issued by the GTAA (both written & practical).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliability, with our customer and fellow employees relying on you.
