Job Summary
Menzies Aviation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aircraft Fueler to join our team at YYC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient fueling and defueling of aircraft.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform daily quality control checks on equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Fuel and defuel aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Accurately account for fuel transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure equipment is clean and functional, and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
- Load and balance fuel correctly, and defuel aircraft as directed.
- Operate fuel trucks and hydrant carts to fuel aircraft.
- Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
- Calculate fuel distributions for a variety of aircraft.
- Drive light and heavy-duty vehicles as required.
- Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
- Attend mandatory training sessions as required.
- Meet attendance records and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Class G driver's license in good standing and other Airport required identification/security passes or authorizations.
- Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
- Work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals.
- Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability, our customer and your fellow employees rely on you.
