Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team at Ontario Inc. As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating new administrative procedures, delegating work to office support staff, and establishing work priorities to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Procedures: Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure they align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work Delegation: Delegate work to office support staff to ensure efficient use of resources and effective completion of tasks.
  • Work Priorities: Establish work priorities to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Office Operations: Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Reporting and Data Entry: Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence, and perform data entry.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on new procedures and policies, and oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Youths
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Supports for Visible Minorities
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

Work Environment: This is a permanent, 30 hours per week position. The work language is English.
