At Ontario Inc, we are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating new administrative procedures, delegating work to office support staff, and establishing work priorities to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Delegate work to office support staff to optimize productivity and workload
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in an administrative role
  • Proven track record of success in administrative support and coordination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including newcomers and refugees
  • Knowledge of diversity and cross-cultural training
  • Experience providing mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
