Job Summary

Purpose LP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of VP, Strategic Initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic initiatives, working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute corporate strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) process, including the development, tracking, and reporting of OKRs across the organization.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions, helping to translate the CEO's vision into actionable plans.
  • Ensure that strategic initiatives are prioritized, resources are allocated effectively, and execution is monitored for success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing insights, recommendations, and support on key strategic decisions.
  • Manage the CEO's priorities, ensuring that time and resources are focused on the most critical strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and manage processes for effective resource allocation, ensuring that the company's resources are deployed in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional team prioritization efforts, working across the organization to organize core project priorities, teams, and resource allocation.
  • Lead program increment planning sessions, ensuring collaboration and alignment across teams. Evaluate and adjust priorities as needed, in response to changing business conditions or new opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and escalate impediments, manage risks, and deploy solutions to ensure continuous delivery of value.
  • Drive relentless improvement by evaluating program performance and implementing process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to drive organizational change and foster a culture of accountability and execution.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, ensuring that they have the tools and support needed to succeed.
  • Foster strong relationships across the organization, promoting collaboration and alignment on strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement metrics and reporting systems to monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and OKRs.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team on the status of key initiatives, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a senior operational role, with a focus on strategy execution.
    • Experience working directly with C-suite executives, particularly in a Chief of Staff or similar capacity.
    • Proven track record of leading and executing large-scale strategic initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of business dynamics in the financial services industry.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
    • High level of organizational and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in using data and analytics to drive decision-making and monitor performance.
    • Strong understanding of Lean and Agile practices.
    • Certification in Project Management or Agile methodologies is a plus.
