About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Director, Growth Initiatives to join our team at Firewood Marketing, Inc. as an Associate Director, Strategy. This is a key leadership position that will drive impactful growth and demand generation programs, collaborating closely with our clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Understand client objectives and establish processes for effectively managing the organization by understanding issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence our work.
  • Facilitate Brainstorming Sessions: Facilitate brainstorm sessions with clients to develop innovative, impactful ideas for amplifying key initiatives; develop best ideas into actionable plans.
  • Drive Campaign Development: Drive development of campaigns to amplify initiatives including understanding various marketing channels, how and when to use them, identifying required marketing assets and driving asset development.
  • Measure and Analyze Campaigns: Own measurement and analysis of channels and campaigns with a focus on maximizing qualified business opportunities and return on investment.
  • Manage Communications: Manage team-wide and executive communications between the client and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Help keep projects on track through structured tracking and reporting, constantly finding ways to improve processes and streamline efforts.
  • Provide Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations to ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution to help drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.
  • Testing and Optimization: Understand and develop testing strategies to measure campaign effectiveness and analyze findings to recommend optimizations for campaign improvement.
  • Creative Audits: Lead campaign creative audits to provide strategy recommendations for updating in-market marketing assets.
  • Project Recovery: If and when a project is missing milestones or is lacking momentum, bring the right resources/attention to get it back on track.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS degree in marketing or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of marketing experience.
  • Marketing Expertise: Experience in all aspects of online marketing, including brand, acquisition, demand generation, nurture, growth, partnerships, and retention campaigns.
  • Creative Marketing: Creative marketer with a passion for knowing your customer and proven track record designing programs that motivate them to take action.
  • Creative Testing: Creative testing capabilities, being able to understand the impact of A/B testing campaigns by analyzing results and developing a plan of action to optimize performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Distinctive problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities. Demonstrated capacity to roll out complex, data-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage several priorities and complex global projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Communication Skills: Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including both professional and casual style of communication.
  • Team Player: Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence executive managers.
