Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager, Corporate Syndications

At Meridian, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Relationship Manager to join our Corporate Syndications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of syndicated financing accounts, identifying and escalating material risk issues, and building strong relationships with our members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of syndicated financing accounts, ensuring accurate risk ratings and timely issue escalation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, chartered bank representatives, lawyers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Structure, negotiate, and document credit and cash management arrangements, ensuring alignment with Meridian's risk parameters and member needs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and due diligence activities for syndicated financing loan proposals, ensuring compliance with Meridian's credit policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, providing guidance on account management and credit structuring.
Requirements:
  • University degree in business or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of progressive commercial lending experience in sales/service and managing a diverse portfolio in a commercial banking environment.
  • Proven experience in structuring, managing, and servicing large, syndicated real estate and construction financing deals.
  • Advanced knowledge of business lending policies, complex procedures, techniques, and documentation requirements.
  • Extensive credit and non-credit product knowledge, with a desire to enhance this knowledge base on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
