Director of Facilities and Sustainability

Cineplex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead its sustainability efforts as the Chief Sustainability Officer. This key role will oversee the development and implementation of the company's sustainability strategy, focusing on facilities management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability plan, aligning with Cineplex's business objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead the facilities management team in implementing sustainable practices, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing waste.
- Research and implement innovative technologies and solutions to optimize energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of Cineplex's operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to advance Cineplex's sustainability goals.
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or business administration.
- Proven experience in sustainability leadership, with a focus on facilities management and operational efficiency.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and implement complex initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to sustainability.
