Job Title: Director, Climate Action & Reporting

Restaurant Brands International and its affiliated companies, including 2105 The TDL Group Corp./Groupe TDL Corporation, are seeking a highly skilled Director to lead our global sustainability efforts.

About the Role:

The Director, Climate Action & Reporting, will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our company's global sustainability plans. This includes managing company-wide projects on specific issue areas, namely climate action and supporting the execution of sustainability goals by other departments/functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead management of our sustainability strategy, goal-setting process for climate, including GHG management, emissions reductions, green buildings, renewable energy, and sustainable sourcing.
  • Manage and execute elements of our sustainability plan, and oversee project management, facilitation, and execution of goals set by cross-functional departments as well as the regional and global brand teams, as it relates to the topics of climate and reporting.
  • Lead cross-functional projects across all brands globally.
  • Support and/or lead cross-functional LT-level engagement, including monthly meetings with brands and regions, monthly meetings with Chief Corporate Officer, and quarterly updates to Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Track and report progress against work plans, including external sustainability commitments, to the Senior Director of Sustainability.
  • Lead Sustainability reporting to update external communications (e.g. website, annual report), disclosures and frameworks (e.g. li>Represent our company in external sustainability collaborations, managing communications with key internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Work with Communications teams to manage stakeholder engagement (NGOs, media) requests as it relates to climate.
Requirements:
  • Current and clear understanding of sustainability concepts, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, particularly those in the food industry, restaurant-specific a plus.
  • Project Management expertise is also required.
  • Fluent in both written and conversational English; fluency in a second language an advantage.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field, Master's degree in business, operations, sustainability or a related field a plus.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in a top-tier consulting firm, NGO working with business, a CSR/sustainability consultancy, or sustainability focused operations or similar role in the private sector, preferably restaurant industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, CDP, and TCFD.
