About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Cleantech Banking Practice as the National Director, Cleantech and Sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to create and execute a strategic vision to advance our cleantech banking practice across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Strategic Vision: Create and execute new program models that enable revenue streams for various lines of business, and develop the framework and conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate cleantech investment opportunities.
  2. Thought Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as a thought leader and advocate for clean technology within the banking industry, influencing key stakeholders and driving policy changes to support sustainable initiatives.
  3. Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, research institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to advance clean technology solutions and drive impactful change.
  4. Business Development and Client Relationships: Lead business development activities and manage a portfolio of strategic client relationships, and support, mentor, and coach regional cleantech champions to understand the market, client approach, and deliver on the strategic vision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong Industry Knowledge: Undergraduate degree with a focus in business, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, sustainability, or a related area, and 5+ years of experience in clean technology and innovation with a strong understanding of the cleantech ecosystem.
  2. Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead change within a team environment, and effective communication and storytelling skills to interact across all levels of the organization and external sectors with impact and influence.
  3. Business Development and Client Management: Business development experience and strong client relationship management skills, and ability to make a difference and lasting impact.
