Head of Checkout Operations

About this work areaAs a Payments & Checkouts Team Leader at IKEA Canada, you will be part of a diverse team working for the continued global success of the IKEA Concept - a concept that helps millions of customers create a better everyday life.
In this role, you will identify payment and checkout development opportunities, based on local market relevance and customer needs. You will manage local vendors where applicable to ensure sustainable vendor relations and minimize costs.
You will also ensure and facilitate trainings in checkout routines, co-worker interactions, legal compliance, safety as well as the best practices. Furthermore, you will build SME (Subject Matter Experts) competence through understanding markets, consumer and total business operations.
Additionally, you will actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact. You will secure the integrated multichannel conversion by meeting customers' expectations, reflecting a compliant, efficient and seamless payment experience across all channels.
You will contribute to the transformation of IKEA by being an active player in driving an open and sharing climate and a role model of our values.
Required skills and qualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A thorough understanding of customers behaviors and current home furnishing trends
- Formal qualifications in Marketing, Sales, Business/Finance or equivalent
- A minimum 5 years of experience in Payments, Customer Experience/support or similar
- A minimum 5 years of experience in leading and influencing co-workers
The starting rate/salary for this position is $49,000.
