About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Browns Social House Newport Village. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as leading and mentoring our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
    • Work closely with our culinary team to ensure menu items are prepared to the highest standards
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Supervise and mentor our kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
    • Provide guidance and support to help staff develop their culinary skills and knowledge
  • Inventory Management and Control
    • Oversee the ordering and inventory of food and supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize our culinary operations
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our culinary standards are being met
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
