We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Romers Burger Bar - Port Moody. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Food Cost Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
- Operational Analysis: Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
- Cooking Techniques and Training: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff, and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Menu Planning and Quality Control: Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, and requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
