About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Romers Burger Bar - Port Moody. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Management

Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability and minimize waste.

  • Operational Analysis

Analyze operating costs, sales data, and other relevant metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Culinary Leadership

Lead and train our culinary team in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.

  • Menu Planning

Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor, while also considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

  • Staff Development

Train and mentor our kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and provide exceptional service to our customers.

  • Inventory Management

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs to ensure our kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.

  • Quality Control

Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor, and that our kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.

  • Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Language

Fluency in English is required.

  • Work Hours

35 hours per week.
