The Quality Improvement Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving strategic priorities and process improvements throughout the Health Careers in Saskatchewan organization. As the Agency's subject matter expert in systems analysis and performance optimization, this position works closely with leadership to foster a culture of project management, continuous quality improvement, patient and staff safety, and informed risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in using quality improvement and project management methodology to support strategic priorities and process improvements
  • Act as the Agency's subject matter expert in systems analysis and performance optimization, risk identification and reduction
  • Work with leadership to foster an organizational culture focused on project management, continuous and meaningful quality improvement, patient and staff safety, and informed risk management
  • Act as a change agent and influence achievement of Agency identified outcomes and enhanced system performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical or allied health field, business administration, public administration or healthcare administration or project management
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
  • Experience managing complex projects using formal methodologies is an asset
  • Experience in quality improvement and/or the use of established enterprise risk management methodologies, such as root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis, is an asset
  • Experience in leading complex, multidisciplinary projects, as well as facilitating teamwork or multi-disciplinary case reviews, organizational change, process improvement, coaching/teaching, group processes, conflict resolution and group decision-making is an asset
  • Certification as a Lean Leader or willingness to complete Lean training within two years of hire is an asset
  • Membership in a recognized project management/risk management / quality improvement association is an asset
