Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Modeller to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of multimodal transportation modelling projects, supervising junior staff, and preparing technical reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and public agencies to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of transportation planning and engineering practices, including multimodal transportation modelling and analysis methods.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • University degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering or a related field, combined with relevant technical background and project management experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning and/or traffic modelling and analytics, including master plans, environmental assessments, and transportation infrastructure design studies.
  • Excellent knowledge of transportation planning and engineering practices, including Travel Demand Modelling/Forecasting, Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM).
  • Strong working knowledge of transportation data management and analysis using GIS/databases, programming languages, and data visualization tools.
  • Registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario or other relevant professional licensing organizations is desired but not required.
