Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Modeller to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of multimodal transportation modelling projects, supervising junior staff, and preparing technical reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation modelling projects, including day-to-day management of work scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality delivery of projects.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations, and participate in client meetings and public information meetings.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and coordination, including developing project understanding, methodology, and work programs.
  • Contribute to overall team management and building, including mentoring and developing junior staff.
Requirements
  • University degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering or a related field, combined with relevant technical background and project management experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning and/or traffic modelling and analytics, including master plans, environmental assessments, and transportation infrastructure/systems preliminary/detailed design studies.
  • Experience with transportation infrastructure and systems improvement practices in the GTA, and a good understanding of transportation planning/engineering issues, challenges, and clients' and stakeholders' needs and requirements.
  • Intimate knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering practices, including Travel Demand Modelling/Forecasting, Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and multimodal transportation modelling and analysis methods/tools.
  • Excellent working knowledge of transportation data management and analyses using GIS/databases, programming in C/python, and integrating, exploring, and visualizing data using tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced, automated mobility and/or smart city transportation solutions and applications are desired.
