Job Title: Graduate Transportation Modeller

AECOM is seeking a talented Graduate Transportation Modeller to join our team in Markham, ON, Canada.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the preparation and contribution of transportation studies, analyzing transportation data, and conducting traffic and transit analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation engineering and planning principles, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and contribute to transportation studies, including data analysis and report writing
  • Assist in the development of transportation models and conduct traffic and transit analysis
  • Participate in client and public meetings, presenting findings and recommendations
  • Develop and manage content for presentations, reports, and proposals
  • Research industry best practices and stay up-to-date with the latest transportation trends
  • Collaborate with a team of transportation engineers, planners, and designers to assess transportation, traffic, and parking conditions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation Engineering or Planning
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of transportation modelling software packages, such as EMME, VISUM, and VISSIM
  • Experience with computer programming languages, such as VBA, SQL, and Python
