Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planning and Modelling Expert to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading multimodal transportation modelling projects, supervising junior staff, and preparing technical reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare work plans and lead the execution of multimodal transportation modelling projects, including day-to-day management of work scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Supervise and provide directions/reviews of work undertaken by junior staff to ensure efficiency, productivity, and high quality in project delivery.
  • Lead the preparation of technical reports and presentations, participate in client meetings, and liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist with overall team management and building, as well as mentoring and developing junior staff.

Requirements

  • University degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering or a related field, combined with relevant technical background and project management experience.
  • 5-10 years of multimodal transportation planning and/or traffic modelling and analytics experience, including master plans, environmental assessments, and transportation infrastructure/systems preliminary/detailed design studies.
  • Experience with transportation infrastructure and systems improvement practices in the GTA and a good understanding of transportation planning/engineering issues, challenges, and clients' and stakeholders' needs and requirements.
  • Intimate knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering practices, including Travel Demand Modelling/Forecasting, Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and multimodal transportation modelling and analysis methods/tools.
