Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic Education Instructor to join our team at NAIT. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students in our Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum for Paramedic Education programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Teach and assess students in a classroom, lab, and clinical setting, using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback to improve student outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into instruction.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation, contributing to the continuous improvement of our Paramedic Education programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to students, helping them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paramedic, with a strong background in education and training.
  • Proven ability to teach and assess students in a variety of settings, using a range of instructional methods and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Ability to stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into instruction.
