Paramedic Education Instructor, Primary and Advanced Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic Education Instructor to join our team at NAIT. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students in our Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum for Paramedic Education programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Teach and assess students in a classroom, lab, and clinical setting, using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback to improve student outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into instruction.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation, contributing to the continuous improvement of our Paramedic Education programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to students, helping them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program marketing and recruitment strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean or Director.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Health Sciences, Paramedicine) or equivalent experience.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paramedic.
  • Proven teaching and instructional experience, with a focus on Paramedic Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on student success and program excellence.
