About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Strategy and Financial Reporting to join our team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc. in Toronto, ON, Canada.

Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive business results. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.

You will work closely with our finance team to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports that provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Your expertise will help us navigate complex financial data and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Business Insights: Provide actionable insights to senior leadership through data analysis and strategic thinking.
  • M&A Support: Assist with M&A due diligence, post-merger integration, and financial modeling.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and business strategy.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA designation or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, financial planning, or business analysis, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting and M&A support.
  • Expertise in accounting and finance, with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial modeling, particularly in the context of M&A due diligence and post-merger integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and business intelligence tools for financial analysis and presentation creation.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
