We are seeking an experienced CORPORATE STRATEGY DIRECTOR to join our dynamic team in Corporate Development & Strategy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive business growth, build strategic partnerships, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

About the Role

This key role will report directly to the AVP, Corporate Strategy & Enablement. As a member of our corporate strategy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth, enhance customer experiences, and improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. They should also have experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement corporate strategies to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences;
  • Lead cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop recommendations;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives;
  • Analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions and optimize processes;
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders, colleagues, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A deep understanding of at least one of Sun Life's business areas (i.e., asset management, individual life insurance, group benefits, group retirement solutions, wealth management, or asset management) and geographic markets;
  • Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a solid background working with data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpreting results, and writing reports/presentations;
  • Demonstrated ability and history of managing/delivering complex programs with executives across the organization;
  • Able to work independently on assignments with appropriate judgment;
  • Able to manage junior team members on projects, providing guidance on analysis and coaching on deliverables;
  • Experience analyzing and solving complex business problems, with management consulting experience being an asset;
  • Experience in conducting in-depth primary and secondary research, including collection and synthesis;
  • Experience in financial analytics, including using modeling tools and techniques, being an asset.
