Light Magazine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee the children's ministry of our organization.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated leader to provide spiritual guidance and oversight to our children's ministry, working closely with the Senior Pastor and existing leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the Children’s Ministry Team: Collaborate with current leaders to develop and implement strategies for effective ministry to children birth through age 12.
  2. Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist in teaching and caregiving during Sunday worship services.
  3. Schedule Development: Establish a weekly schedule for children’s classes and nursery, ensuring seamless coordination with the office administrator.
  4. Curriculum Development: Provide engaging curriculum for children’s classes, meeting the diverse needs of our congregation.
  5. Event Coordination: Oversee children’s activities during special events, such as Christmas banquets and church picnics.
  6. Spiritual Care and Vision: Offer spiritual guidance, pray for team members, and provide vision for future opportunities in the children’s ministry.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Regularly meet with the Senior Pastor, attend staff meetings, and maintain open communication with the leadership team.

Benefits and Salary

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of $15,600, commensurate with experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families within our community.
