Chief Health and Safety Officer, Amazon Logistics

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
About You
You will possess a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, with 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs. A Master's degree is desirable. Your expertise in lean principles, process improvement, and distribution center or manufacturing EHS experience will enable you to drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.

This challenging role requires an exceptional analytical thinker who can develop and implement department goals and strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with comfort interfacing with site leaders. Your ability to work flexible shifts and lead a team of WHS professionals will contribute significantly to the success of this position.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.
- Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the WHS risk is highest.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliant equipment and/or processes at the site.

We are a total compensation company offering competitive salaries and benefits packages. The base salary for this position ranges from $75,400/year up to $125,900/year.
