Kitchen Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Beaver Bank Station. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure presentation and quality standards are met.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Inventory Management and Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Security and Safety
- Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to security and safety protocols, including criminal record checks.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Combine sitting, standing, and walking to perform job duties, with regular breaks to maintain physical well-being.

- Demonstrate client-focused and efficient interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Work collaboratively as a team player to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Take initiative to identify and address areas for improvement, demonstrating dependability and a commitment to excellence.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.
- Criminal record check.
- Parking available.
- Permanent work term.
- Work language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
