Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering HR services to a site, including coordinating team member requests and changes, as well as providing administrative support. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support Great Canadian Gaming Corporation's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Process HR paperwork and maintain site files
• Prepare internal correspondence as directed
• Manage and maintain lists of regulatory requirements
• Conduct site orientations
• Respond to employment verification requests
• Coordinate WCB Claims to ensure accuracy
• Assist with recruitment, including attending career fairs, interviewing candidates, reference checking, and referring candidates
• Provide HR advice to team members and site managers; refer to the Manager, Human Resources when necessary
• Liaise with other locations on team member and file transfers
• May attend OH&S meetings as an employer representative
• Communicate effectively with all operational departments
• Build strong working relationships with guests and team members
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience
• HR designation an asset
• Minimum 2 years of HR or administrative support experience
• Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
• Computer literacy in MS Office; JDE or HRIS experience an asset
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

• Regular office and casino environment; non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances; some travel may be required
