Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, this role is pivotal in delivering administrative support and guidance to the corporate HR team while facilitating the execution and upkeep of corporate HR strategies. The position ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures, promotes a positive workplace culture, and fosters a safe and inclusive environment for all employees.
Primary Responsibilities- Collaborates with senior leadership and departmental managers to facilitate the comprehensive recruitment process for specialized roles, including finance, accounting, marketing, and technology services; develops recruitment strategies; manages job postings across various platforms; coordinates with recruitment agencies as needed; conducts candidate pre-screening, interviews, and reference checks; prepares offer letters; oversees onboarding processes; and maintains HRIS and employee records.
- Manages Occupational Health & Safety and Disability Management initiatives, including accident reporting, case management, and the implementation of related policies; works closely with site HR and management; compiles data and presents findings.
- Prepares and oversees all Leave of Absence (LOA) documentation for head office personnel; escalates issues to the Director of Human Resources when necessary.
- Aids in the design, execution, and support of various HR initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, policy launches, service awards, and performance management systems.
- Coordinates licensing and compliance requirements for head office staff, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications and renewals.
- Ensures the integrity of HRIS data; collaborates with site HR to maintain data quality; regularly audits data for accuracy and consistency; initiates data cleanup efforts as needed.
- Assists in the upkeep of HR documentation, including policies, organizational charts, and various compliance forms.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with all relevant operational departments.
- Builds and nurtures strong relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, management, team members, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensures adherence to licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and other statutory requirements.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma; post-secondary education in Human Resources or a relevant combination of education and experience is preferred.
- HR certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a robust background in full-cycle recruitment for professional and specialized roles.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with JDE or other HRIS platforms is preferred; familiarity with Visio and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
- Capability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
Work Environment Considerations
- Typical office and casino environment; non-traditional work hours may be required in certain situations, and some travel may be necessary.
