The Opportunity
Corporate Facilities provides expertise in facility planning, design, and construction, maintenance and property management, facility asset management, and energy management. As a Centre of Excellence, the department manages the City's facility and property portfolios. The Senior Facility Services Technician position is responsible for comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair of the City's corporate facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and respond to, troubleshoot, and perform preventative, routine, and emergency repair or replacement of facilities, infrastructure, structures, equipment, and systems.
- Work in a complex, fast-paced environment with changing priorities, set priorities, meet deadlines, and deal with conflicting priorities and work demands.
- Maintain a high standard of public relations at all times.
Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma.
- Completion of a relevant Trade Certificate of Qualification as outlined by the Ontario College of Trades/Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
- Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the major responsibilities of the position.
- Demonstrated experience in a complex, multi-facility work environment.
- Demonstrated experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, structural, roof systems, and door hardware.
Working Conditions
- Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's Licence in good standing.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
