Director of Environmental Services

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Services to lead our team in providing exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective operational strategies to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.
  2. Oversee the planning, coordination, and direction of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance and repairs.
  4. Prepare and manage budgets, inventories, and other administrative guides to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  5. Act as a liaison between the community and external agencies to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements.
  6. Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of team members to ensure a high-performing team.
Requirements:
  1. Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  3. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and prevailing best practices related to housekeeping and laundry.
  4. Basic computer knowledge, including Word and Excel.
  5. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working in a long-term care setting.
