Adult Protective Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Protective Services Worker to join our team at Family and Children's Services Niagara. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Adult Protective Services clients to enhance their ability to live successfully and independently in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support, mentoring, and coaching to Adult Protective Services clients to enhance their life skills and independence.
- Develop and implement individualized life skills coaching plans to address clients' needs and goals.
- Act as a bridge between clients and community resources, advocating for their needs and ensuring access to necessary services.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting Adult Protective Services clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress.
- Developmental Services Worker Diploma or related degree/diploma preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.
- Solid knowledge of developmental disabilities and related support services.
- Excellent crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
- Valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
