  • Responsible for managing junior technical staff on large projects
  • May lead medium-to-large projects from a Technology design perspective
  • Provide Quality Assurance to project teams and monitor compliance with Enercare procedures and document standards
  • Responsible for translating complex business functional requirements into technical specification documents and writing application programs to deliver this functionality
  • Provide innovative ideas to challenge the status quo
  • Work autonomously to design, code, test, document, and debug programs of moderate to high complexity
  • Be a technology role model for IT team members
  • Provide leadership to junior Programmer Analysts
  • Provide technical/business leadership to Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Programmer Analysts, Application Analysts, and Database Analysts

Qualifications:

  • University degree in computer science or 7 years related work experience
  • Extensive application support experience
  • Proven experience in IT systems development
  • Excellent understanding of business goals and objectives
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for business cases and budgets
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
