About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Special Events Manager to join our team at SUNRAY GROUP OF HOTELS INC. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in hotel, motel, or resort management and be proficient in MS Office.

Job Description

The Special Events Manager will be responsible for promoting conference and meeting services or special events, developing marketing and communication plans, and determining requirements for hospitality services. They will also arrange for production or purchase of promotional products, assist in budget preparation, and co-ordinate media services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events
  • Develop marketing and communication plans
  • Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services
  • Arrange for production or purchase of promotional products
  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  • Co-ordinate media services
  • Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events
  • Confirm and co-ordinate speakers
  • Implement registration systems
  • Implement social programs, food and beverage, transportation, and other services
  • Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in hotel, motel, or resort management
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as health benefits, including dental plan, healthcare plan, and vision care benefits.
