About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Initiatives Liaison to join our team at Doctors of BC. In this role, you will lead and execute key portfolios to advance health system priorities as delegated by the Manager, Strategic Initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy to execute initiatives and programs to advance health system priorities.
  • Engage and collaborate with key partners, including physicians, health care providers, Doctors of BC staff, senior Ministry of Health, Health Authority executives, and community agencies.
  • Develop and implement a JCC plan in coordination with partners to support the achievement of BC's 10-Year Cancer Action Plan.
  • Take a proactive approach to ensuring progress occurs across your portfolio and that milestones are met and effectively communicated across the team, organization, and with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or recognized professional designation in a related field, and up to six years of progressive and related experience OR an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Experience working within the cancer and/or mental health and substance use healthcare system is an asset.
  • Experience in quality improvement methodologies, collective impact, or facilitating networks is an asset.
  • Public engagement training, project management, and change management training and experience is an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of health regions, current issues, and trends is required, and experience working with health authorities, facilities, and physicians is preferred.
