Terminal Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Terminal Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our marine terminal in the Vancouver area. This role will be responsible for managing vendor/supplier relationships, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining strong stakeholder relations.
Key Responsibilities:- Terminal oversight: Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the terminal through regular meetings and on-site visits.
- Vendor & Supplier management: Resolve issues, drive cost efficiencies, and manage performance to meet quality and delivery expectations.
- Quality assurance: Oversee the quality of exported Sulphur, including specification attainment, contractual expectations, and environmental impacts.
- Stakeholder relations: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Port Terminal and Terminal Service Providers, to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions to enhance product quality and non-standard handling requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a railway, terminal, vessel, or logistics management role.
- Supply Chain management certification an asset.
- Develops fresh ideas to solve workplace challenges.
- Makes timely, informed decisions considering facts, goals, constraints, and risks.
- Resolves difficult or complicated challenges.
- Adapts to changing business needs and conditions.
- Conveys ideas and facts effectively in writing and orally.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to drive win-win solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to leverage technology.
- Prioritizes tasks by importance and deadline.
