Terminal Administrator role at DP World Vancouver involves providing administrative support to various departments and overseeing the functional administration of the Container Operations Facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support in data entry, quotations, correspondence, copying, filing, and other duties as required.
  • Welcoming staff, guests, and visitors, signing them in, and directing them to the correct locations.
  • Managing incoming calls, mail, and couriers.
  • Supporting the Purchasing function by receiving, opening, and verifying invoices, matching packing slips, and placing stationery orders.
  • Maintaining office equipment and coordinating service calls as necessary.
  • Assisting in managing contractors and coordinating activities held at the COF.
  • Completing periodic building walk arounds and raising any issues with the building.
  • Supporting billing activities.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in an office environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Previous experience with AP/AR and/or in an industrial environment is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, exercising discretion and tact when handling confidential information.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Extremely detailed and quality-oriented, with exceptional computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with fluency in English.
  • Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries is an asset.
