Strategic Account Director for Omni Channel Marketing

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead the development of omni-channel marketing campaigns, driving conversion across the consumer journey. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of clients, growing the business, and ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Brief and set objectives for cross-functional teams, including creative, design, media, and studio.
- Foster collaborative working relationships and efficient workflows within specialty and IMC teams.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess new hiring requirements and manage the hiring process with HR.
- Mentor and develop direct reports to provide best-in-class account and production management.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support personal and professional goal-setting for team members.
- Oversee portfolio P&L, collaborating with finance to maintain business profitability.
- Build and reconcile small and large program budgets to drive business profitability.
- Train the account team on budget management and ensure all programs within the portfolio are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify revenue and profit gaps and create implementation plans to address them.
- Identify new areas for business growth within the omni/shopper team or across additional Salt services.
- Monitor program success, providing optimization options and areas for improvement post-program.
- Manage external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, clients, agencies, and contractors.
- Lead new or ongoing business initiatives to support growth and development for Salt XC.
- Minimum 10 years in Accounts, Client Service, Project Management, or related roles, with a strong background in Shopper Marketing/Omni Channel marketing.
- Deep understanding of the Canadian retail landscape and agency support processes.
- Experience managing cross-functional client teams (shopper/trade marketing, sales, and brand teams).
- Familiarity with online and offline disciplines impacting omni-channel programming.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Proven project management experience.
- Understanding of agency budgeting and reporting requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to guide internal teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to oversee and deliver against a large P&L.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue business growth opportunities.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams to achieve successful results.
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
