Your role and responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of our Windows systems and both On-Premises and Cloud data centers;
  • Manage and maintain server solutions, encompassing OS, Active Directory, Virtual Machines, PaaS, SaaS, Azure Active Directory, and FTP;
  • Evaluate the performance, capacity, and security of IT infrastructure, addressing recurring issues, and implementing lasting solutions;
  • Deploy IT and software solutions tailored to meet business requirements;
  • Engage in the ongoing enhancement of environments and systems;
  • Support the administration of virtualization and storage environments;
  • Actively participate in troubleshooting system issues;
  • Collaborate on initiatives to integrate new IT and operational technology solutions;
  • Assist and mentor other IT teams in resolving technical challenges;
  • Optimize and sustain infrastructure monitoring tools;
  • Monitor and respond to system and security notifications;
  • Oversee server rooms, including UPS, electrical systems, climate control, and alarms;
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation;
  • Contribute to strategic direction and provide insights on emerging technologies;
  • Create and manage scripts as necessary to automate processes;
  • Establish, maintain, and regularly conduct controls for regulatory audits;
  • Play an active role in the evolution of infrastructure architecture.

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in computer science or a college diploma with substantial experience in the field;
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in systems administration;
  • Familiarity with concepts, technologies, and products related to systems such as virtualization, cloud (in hybrid mode), and mobility;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
  • Capacity to work alongside the company's operations and construction teams;
  • Awareness of risk management and involvement in the implementation of cybersecurity and monitoring solutions;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Bilingual proficiency (French and English, both spoken and written) is essential for effective collaboration with various stakeholders;
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends;
  • Expertise in:
    • Azure, M365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory
    • VMWare
    • Veeam
    • Hybrid Architecture (On-Premises/Cloud)
    • Solarwinds/Orion
  • Experience with:
    • MSSQL
    • PowerShell scripting
    • LAN/WAN, firewall, switch, and wireless technologies
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Knowledge of operational technologies
    • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, IT security, etc.)
    • Experience with JIRA/CONFLUENCE for project management and documentation
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements (SOX/ITGC)
    • Experience in system administration within an IoT environment
