About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our Information Technology team at Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. This is a P3 level position based in our Longueuil, Quebec headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage our Windows systems and OnPrem and Cloud data centers;
  • Implement and manage server solutions, including OS, AD, VM, PaaS, SaaS, AAD, and FTP;
  • Analyze the performance, capacity, and security of IT equipment and identify and implement definitive solutions;
  • Develop and implement IT and software solutions tailored to business needs;
  • Participate in the continuous updating of environments and systems;
  • Contribute to the administration of virtualization and storage environments;
  • Solve system problems and collaborate on projects to integrate new IT and OT solutions;
  • Assist and guide other IT teams in solving technical problems;
  • Optimize and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools;
  • Monitor and respond to system and security alerts;
  • Manage server rooms, including UPS, electricity, air conditioning, alarms, and other critical systems;
  • Create and update technical documentation;
  • Contribute to strategic orientations and advise on emerging technologies;
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate processes;
  • Set up, maintain, and regularly produce controls for regulatory audits;
  • Participate in the development of infrastructure architecture.
Requirements
  • University degree in computer science or college diploma with significant experience in the field;
  • 7 to 10 years in systems administration;
  • Knowledge of virtualization, cloud, and mobility concepts, technologies, and products;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with operations and construction teams;
  • Strong risk management skills and experience with cybersecurity and monitoring solutions;
  • Organizational skills and thoroughness;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required for collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec;
  • Available for occasional evening and weekend work;
  • Expertise in Azure, M365, AD, AAD, VMWare, Veeam, Hybrid Architecture, Solarwinds/Orion, MSSQL, PowerShell scripting, LAN/WAN, firewall, switch, wireless technology;
  • Experience in JIRA/CONFLUENCE project management application and documentation, knowledge of regulatory requirements (SOX/ITGC), and experience in system administration in an IoT environment.
