Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Team Lead to join our team at Comal y Canela traditional Mexican kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in leading our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest quality dishes are served to our customers.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • You will be responsible for supervising activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
