Job Overview:


Oretta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Team Lead to join our culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead by example, mentor junior staff, and drive menu innovation in a fast-paced restaurant environment.


Salary:


The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.


Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Maintaining accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal kitchen efficiency.
  • Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to staff to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Instructing cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to achieve exceptional plate appeal.
  • Preparing and cooking complete meals for events and special guests to showcase the restaurant's culinary expertise.
  • Supervising kitchen staff, training staff in food preparation and handling, and leading individuals in the kitchen to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Planning menus, ensuring quality standards, and preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances to provide excellent customer service.
  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, consulting with clients on events, and preparing meals on a regular basis to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
