CatchLight is a visual-first media organization that leverages the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect, and transform communities.

We seek a seasoned sales leader to join our team as Director of Sales. This key role will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue targets across our three growing earned revenue streams:

  • Newsroom memberships for CatchLight's Local Visual Desk program
  • B2B sales, securing or renewing contracts with 30 newsroom clients
  • Corporate sponsors for public programs/live events and creative services contracts

The Director of Sales will lead the development of plans to meet sales and revenue targets, manage prospect/client interactions, and evaluate costs to determine product pricing. This role requires a strong understanding of client cultivation, local news, and/or photojournalism, as well as experience with Salesforce CRM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
  • Manage and track prospect/client interactions through sales and renewal processes
  • Evaluate costs to determine product pricing
  • Work with Local program leadership to develop consistent practices for onboarding and offboarding newsroom clients
  • Provide quarterly reports on progress toward annual goals

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of prior experience in sales
  • Experience and proficiency with Salesforce CRM
  • Passion for and understanding of client cultivation, local news, and/or photojournalism
  • Creativity, character, and culture fit
