Director of Sales for Earned Revenue Streams

CatchLight is a visual-first media organization that leverages the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect, and transform communities.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for creating, executing, and iterating a sales plan to meet or beat annual revenue targets for CatchLight's three growing earned revenue streams:

  • Newsroom memberships for CatchLight's Local Visual Desk program
  • Corporate sponsors for public programs/live events
  • Contracts for CatchLight's creative services

The Director of Sales will develop plans to meet sales and revenue targets, lead solicitations, prospect, and cultivate relationships with clients, and evaluate costs to determine product pricing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a sales strategy to achieve annual targets
  • Managing and tracking prospect/client interactions through Salesforce CRM
  • Developing contracts that align with CatchLight's services and meet client needs
  • Working with Local program leadership to develop consistent practices for onboarding and offboarding newsroom clients
  • Providing quarterly reports on progress toward annual goals

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of prior experience in sales, experience and proficiency with Salesforce, and a passion for client cultivation, local news, and/or photojournalism.
