Director of Sales

CatchLight is a visual-first media organization that leverages the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect, and transform communities. We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Director of Sales.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual targets. They will be responsible for creating and executing a sales strategy that aligns with CatchLight's business objectives, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and collaborating with the leadership team to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive business growth and develop strategic partnerships
  • Manage and track sales performance using Salesforce CRM
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client needs and preferences
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in sales
  • Experience and proficiency with Salesforce CRM
  • Passion for and understanding of client cultivation, local news, and/or photojournalism
  • Superior verbal and written skills with experience producing proposals and presentations
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple sales funnels and client relationships
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Collaborative and cooperative work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate via phone, text, zoom, email, and other software
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to travel to the San Francisco office and meet with clients in-person as necessary
