Window Sales Consultant

Salary and Benefits$55,000-$60,000 per year, plus commission pay. Additional benefits include casual dress, dental care, disability insurance, employee assistance program, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, RRSP match, store discount, tuition reimbursement, and vision care.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Showroom Sales Representative to join our Sales Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting customers, providing guidance and advice on window and door purchases, and generating sales.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Superior selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to read blueprints and complete material take-offs
Greeting Customers: Respond to in-person and telephone customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
Product Knowledge: Provide detailed product information and make visual presentations to retail customers.
Customer Support: Review customer plans and requirements thoroughly to determine window/door requirements, provide support and direction to customers, and ensure that customers' needs are addressed in a timely fashion.
Merchandising and Promotional Activities: Participate in merchandising and promotional activities to drive sales and promote our products.
Organizational Skills: Maintain a high level of organization and tidiness in the showroom.
Additional Duties: Prepare quotes for customers, provide support to Territory Sales Representatives, and participate in trade shows as required.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Training within the Construction Trades, Construction Technology program, or Interior Design program (beneficial)
- Minimum of three (3) years proven sales experience within building trades (preferably millwork)
- Experience reading blueprints and completing material take-offs (asset)
