About the Role:

FortisBC is seeking a skilled Program Specialist to join our Conservation and Energy Management team. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and administering programs that assist income-qualified customers, charities, and non-profit housing providers in reducing their energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of new or revised programs from concept to implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and co-develop collateral required to support programs and develop communications plans.
  • Prepare business cases for new programs, including substantiated justifications and cost-effectiveness analysis.
  • Oversee the ongoing administration of programs, including application reviews, invoice processing, budget tracking, forecasting, reporting, and more.
  • Support regulatory activities for the BC Utilities Commission.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline from a recognized program, plus a minimum of three (3) years of recent, related experience working with projects or program development.
  • PMP/CEM designation would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of principles of demand-side management (DSM) and residential/commercial energy-saving measures.
  • Demonstrated customer service approach and relationship-building skills with program stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with partners in a fast-paced environment with complex processes.
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • Valid BC Driver's license.
